Sharing the Health in Vietnam

Children's Hospital in Vietnam

Thursday, June 10, 2010, MedShare loaded and shipped out of the Southeastern Regional Distribution Center another 40 foot container of medical supplies and equipment destined for VIETNAM. The 1,400-plus items on the container are going to be distributed between two under-resourced government hospitals, KHANH HOA GENERAL HOSPITAL and DANANG GENERAL HOSPITAL. This project was sponsored by the Vina Capital Foundation to support its cardiac care outreach program “Heartbeat Vietnam”. Some of the supplies and equipment on the container include syringe pumps, breast pumps, pulse oximeters, pressure monitors, a chemistry analyzer, ambu bags, diapers, iodine, cervical collars, and blood pressure cuffs.

This is MedShare’s fourth container to Vietnam shipped with Vina Capital Foundation, and there are several more in the pipeline. Thanks to all who contributed to this project to make it a success!
