The City of San Leandro is joining the celebration of MedShare’s Western office’s 5th anniversary by officially naming August 1st, 2013 “MedShare Day” in San Leandro, CA. MedShare was founded as a way to offer healthcare providers an environmentally and socially responsible alternative to throwing away medical waste, and is California’s largest medical supply and equipment reuse organization. MedShare has shipped over 950 40-foot containers of medical aid to 93 countries around the world, and has saved over 2 million cubic feet of supplies from entering landfills.
August 1st, 2013 marks 5 years of MedShare’s West coast operations; MedShare has other facilities in Atlanta and the tri-state area. MedShare as an organization will celebrate 15 years of service this year.
“On behalf of the entire MedShare organization, I was pleased to accept this proclamation at the July city council meeting. I had the opportunity to thank the city council and the community for embracing us and our mission so warmly,” said Chuck Haupt, Western Region Executive Director of MedShare. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the city of San Leandro.”
On August 1, celebrate MedShare Day with us by sharing this message with a friend, or by telling a colleague about our humanitarian relief efforts!
