MedShare at The Museum of Design Atlanta & the Botanical Gardens

MedShare will be featured at the upcoming Barrique: Wine, Design & Social Change exhibition at the Museum of Design Atlanta! This exhibition focuses on a wine barrel recycling project which took place at San Patrignano, Europe’s largest residential treatment center for young men and women recovering from diseases and social exclusion. Residents of San Patrignano have the opportunity to gain professional skills in a variety of areas including graphic design, wine making, and furniture building. Over 30 pieces of furniture, which were designed by well-known European designers and architects and built by the residents of San Patrignano, will be exhibited at MODA, demonstrating how design really can change lives. MODA was looking to highlight some local organizations who are using recycling to help improve the lives of others, and to educate people on how they can get involved, and they selected MedShare! MedShare photos and information will be scrolling on monitors at the exhibition.

Also, thanks to Wednesday regular volunteer Carla, there will be a MedShare themed scare crow at the Botanical Gardens scare crow exhibit, opening October 3rd! This scare crow will be made out of recycled medical supplies, and will be appropriately named “Mighty MedScare: Frightening away medical waste and saving lives.”

We are so grateful for these two opportunities to be featured at such wonderful events. Please feel free to visit these community events MedShare will be featured in!
