MedShare’s Southeast Region regular Wednesday morning volunteers are a great bunch. Every so often, they’ll come together to plan special events amongst themselves, often including MedShare staff in their celebrations. In the past year alone, they’ve had potluck lunches, sang Christmas carols, dressed up for Halloween and more.
Last week, they came together again to throw a surprise engagement celebration for Lindsey Barber, our Senior Programs Manager. Lindsey has a close relationship with many of the volunteers, and they wanted to do something special to celebrate her upcoming marriage.
Volunteers and staff brought in dishes of delicious food, presents were given, and everyone congratulated the couple. Lindsey even shared a fun story: she and her fiance met at MedShare when he volunteered to sort medical supplies!
